San Diego county politicians are promoting a number of costly tax hikes in the 2022 local elections – and we’re organizing the campaign to stop them!
- First, two county-wide Sales Tax hikes are being put on the 2022 ballot that would increase the local Sales Tax to 8.25% to 9.75% depending on where you live/shop!
- Second, a number of cities are also pushing tax hikes on top of that including several Property Tax hikes, Storm water Taxes, and a new Garbage Tax!
- Third, local politicians also are directing the county’s SANDAG transportation agency to move forward with imposing a Mileage Tax starting in 2023 to track your mileage and charge you anywhere from 4 to 6 cents per mile you drive!
If all of these tax hikes are approved, the average San Diegan will end up paying $1000 more in taxes every year!
You are invited to attend this special Town Hall meeting where we will discuss these unfair and costly tax hikes – and provide you with a briefing on the campaign we are waging to defeat these tax hike proposals in the upcoming 2022 election.
We can win this fight! In 2016 and again in 2020 we blocked similar tax hike measures in San Diego county. Now these politicians are at it again – and we can once again stop them but only with your help!
Please join in our fight by supporting this campaign today – and bring a friend to the Town Hall!
