Carl DeMaio and a coalition of concerned San Diego citizens are urging the Board of Supervisors of San Diego County to join other cities and counties in California in filing a legal challenge to overturn SB 54 the Sanctuary State Law.
“The Sanctuary State law in California threatens our public safety by tying the hands of local law enforcement in an effort to shield dangerous criminals from being deported,” said DeMaio.
In an interview on DeMaio’s radio show with County Supervisor Dianne Jacob, DeMaio got a commitment that the County Board would take the issue up at its upcoming meeting.
DeMaio urged voters to raise their voices to pressure the County Board to file a legal challenge against the Sanctuary State law.
With the ACLU and other open-border advocates threatening a lawsuit against San Diego County if it opposes the Sanctuary State Law requirements, it is vital that voters weigh in to stiffen the spine of county politicians and urge them to do the right thing: Protect the Public, Not the Criminals!
“The Sanctuary State Law is not only unconstitutional, but it is a real threat to public safety because it forces local government to harbor and shield violent criminals,” noted former San Diego City Councilman Carl DeMaio.
“If you are as outraged with the notion of the Sanctuary State Law that I am, please call and email the members of the County Board of Supervisors today,” urged DeMaio.
