In Q2 2024 Carl DeMaio continued to be powerhouse fundraiser among Republicans in California – raising over $1 million in just 90 days. His total raised for 2024 cycle now stands at nearly $5 million from tens of thousands of grassroots contributors across the state.
“The amazing support we are getting for our entire Reform California movement is a testament to the hunger across California for new leadership and a more aggressive fight to fix our state,” DeMaio said.
DeMaio says California Republicans won’t be relevant in the state again until they can raise enough resources to compete with Democrats.
“Being a conservative and fighting in California is hard, but it can and must be done – and the support we are generating from grassroots contributors for this fight is proof that people want to fight to take back this state from the far-Left’s insanity,” DeMaio says.
“Democrats have a huge advantage in California with millions in special-interest money and a liberal media giving them free favorable coverage every day, but we’ll be investing the resources we are raising in a strategic way to have the biggest impact,” DeMaio says.
DeMaio is on pace to raise $8-10 million for the 2024 cycle - all to be invested exclusively in campaigns in California to help conservatives better compete in the state.
In addition to his own campaign to secure a seat in the state legislature, DeMaio is investing in key initiatives, including distributing the Reform California Voter Guide; opposing tax hikes and the threatened repeal of Prop 13; supporting reform ballot measures like Prop 36’s “Make Crime Illegal Again” Initiative; recruiting, training and endorsing candidates in target seats; deploying grassroots volunteers and paid canvassers; funding policy research and investigations; and building media platforms to help conservatives bypass the liberal media to get their message out.
In the March Primary election, candidates endorsed by DeMaio’s Reform California Voter Guide performed exceptionally well throughout the state. DeMaio is hoping to expand the distribution and impact of the voter guide in the November General election.
Since launching his Reform California movement in 2017, DeMaio has directly raised over $23 million for campaigns he’s led.
“We need these resources because California’s 2024 election will likely have major consequences – from potentially deciding who wins majority control of the US House to whether Prop 13 survives and whether state Republicans can turn the tide of years of losing seats in the state legislature,” DeMaio notes.
