Just five days after Carl DeMaio announced he is running for California State Assembly to bring the energy and innovative solutions of his Reform California movement into the state legislature, his campaign has over $600,000 cash-on-hand already to lock down the seat.
“The amazing support we are getting literally every hour is a testament to the hunger across California for new leadership and a more aggressive fight to fix our state,” DeMaio said.
“I will honor the support we’re receiving by working 24-7 in this fight on behalf of millions of Californians who feel they don’t have a voice in our state,” DeMaio pledged.
In addition to the funding for his Assembly campaign, DeMaio has over $1 million cash-on-hand currently in his “Reform California with Carl DeMaio – Ballot Measure Committee.” This committee, previously known as just “Reform California,” changed the moment DeMaio became a candidate for State Assembly and will now only spend funds on ballot measures and recall campaigns that DeMaio leads. No funding from DeMaio’s ballot measure campaign can be transferred or used for his Assembly campaign.
DeMaio’s Assembly campaign committee will now assume all costs associated with the Reform California movement – outside of ballot measure expenses. This includes producing DeMaio’s daily podcast, news platforms, candidate endorsements, issue advocacy, etc.
“All of the pieces are in place to transform how we fight to take back California – and I’m thrilled that grassroots activists across the state are supporting the plan and infrastructure we’ve built to wage a more aggressive and effective fight to fix our state,” DeMaio concluded.
