The California College Republicans (CCR) have officially endorsed Carl DeMaio for State Assembly — and enthusiastically are backing DeMaio’s call for the formation of a “Reform California Caucus” inside the state legislature of principled fighters to change our broken political system.
“It’s time to send a leader to Sacramento that will work to build a movement that will force California politicians to finally fight for CHANGE,” said 21-year old College Republican Chairman David Chan, who also serves as Chairman of the Alameda County Republican Party — the youngest Republican County Chair in California history.
“The youth and the next generation are behind Carl DeMaio,” explained Chan. “Carl is a fighter for the grassroots — for the people — that says what many of us are all thinking: Republican officials and electeds need to stop caving to the Left without any attempt to fight back and offer an actual, bold alternative instead of just complaining.”
“I’m proud and thankful to have the support of the California College Republicans — a great group of likeminded grassroots activists,” said Carl DeMaio. “We are building this campaign and this movement centered on everyday Californians — like our hardworking students — and not establishment elites.”
“The College Republicans’ members, made up of Gen Z, are the next generation of California’s leaders — and I look forward to working together to make California a better place for them to inherit,” he continued.
The College Republicans have chapters at colleges and universities across the state — including six in San Diego County.
The Reform California Caucus will be a group of state and local elected officials who commit to working with the Reform California movement to wage a relentless and aggressive fight against the Democrat Supermajority at all levels, at all times.
“We look forward to getting Carl elected, and we plan to organize phone banking and door knocking deployments for him in the new year,” said David Chan, who also confirmed that DeMaio will appear on the College Republicans’ annual voter guide.
